Why did I know this would happen? I logged onto the OFFICIAL Pickerington web site trying to contact my city councilman. Even though Mr. David Shaver was elected in November and he has been present for a number of council meetings they do not list him as one of the officials to contact. They do have Craig Maxey and John Washington. They can act surprised to hear Mr. Washington give his resignation one night and the next night they have an ad in the paper for his replacement. Yet they can?’t update their WEB site to make it current.

Since when did you believe you had a Council PERSON representing you? That?’s not the way the City government is set up. What you think you have is geographic representation. You know, like Council PERSON from the 5th ward, Mr./Mrs./Ms/Miss Smith-Jones. Our system simply is not set up that way. They are all Council PEOPLE at-large. They?’re living large and being in charge!

Uh-oh, do I smell a petition brewing here for yet another change to the Charter?

Do I smell more traffic at the drive through petition office?
