Shame on You
If the republican of libelous statements made by others is also libel, I guess I am in good company.
Violet Township sent the message to Bob Harding on May 15, 2002 and Bob Harding sent it to his list including members of a new club.
It is interesting, however, only I was singled out for republican of the 'libelous' statement, though it is clear in my posting the source of my information.
I find the entire process very interesting.
For your information, I have a lot of respect for John & Rita Ricketts, and I believe, they have a lot of respect for me.

Come on Mark
Come on Mark. You know that you have no respect for anyone, and I do not know anyone who has any respect for you. You keep promising to stop posting to this web site. Why don't you at least keep your promises?

Ricketts response
Through our Contact Person the Ricketts have asked that a factual posting be made regarding this issue.
The township is not doing what they are because of the Ricketts?’ agenda. We do happen to be impacted by the annexation and have a right to object, just as the SCC has a right to ask to be annexed. The Ricketts are not funding any of the township?’s action.
The zoning Rita Ricketts has been proposing by an Initiative petition is two houses per acre, not two acres per house. The Willow Run subdivision (former Ricketts property) was zoned for housing by the City of Pickerington over the Ricketts?’ objection by the use of a land use plan costing $50,000.00. Prior to that the land use for that parcel against the railroad tracks was Industrial, which the City abandoned. PR6 was the zoning given Willow Pond by the City, with Colony Park subdivision at R6 and Manor House at R4. These are the subdivisions on either side of Willow Pond. The part of Spring Creek subdivision which John and Rita Ricketts own is zoned at 2 houses per acre.
Part of the Ricketts objection to the annexation stems from the City granting reductions for sewer / water capacity fees and other financial considerations for those annexing, which could possibly impact the residents of Pickerington financially. The issue of zoning arises with the contract zoning (pre zoning) also given to those that annex. The zoning allowed in the annexations could / would impact the schools.
It is unfortunate the SCC is impacted so greatly by the annexation. However, the Ricketts are not anti-God. They are active members of Epiphany Lutheran Church, where they were Charter Members.

TIF's
Dear Lisa:
Thank you for writing. We had forgotten to TIF this project. I am advised that these developments will subtantially increas the number of lemonade stands and garage sales in our community. This does not even include the brisk door to door cookie business and the new information dissemination networks (newspapaer routes). Take that all of you critics that say we have no commerical development.
I say it's time we extend Ms. Bushman contract for another ten years and increase the salary of our development director. By the way, legislation will be presented next week granting this development a TIF. Better yet, why don't we just build all the roads at taxpayer expense and agree to lay the foundations for all the homes being built.
