The continual anger and frustration directed by the writers in this discussion group regarding the government of Pickerington leads one to ask a few questions.
What portion of the voters shares these feelings?
If there is considerable sentiment against the current council and mayor what can we do other than wait until the next election? It is obvious that speaking at council meetings has no effect.
There seems to be only one recourse under these circumstances and that is an attempt to recall the mayor and/or those council members whose actions are so blatently offensive to so many.
They must be replaced with more responsive and responsible people. Waiting until the next election will only bring us more unwanted development, traffic congestion, higher property taxes, etc.
Is there sufficient sentiment and money for a recall campaign? I'll put the first $100 into the pot. It anyone else willing to do join me??
