Disappointed

Posted in: PATA
Info.

I've never attended a township mtg. I checked the website and wanted to know if the best one to attend is one on the 1st and 3rd Wed's at 7:30pm? What's the format for this meeting? Is there a public comments section prior to the start or what?

I'm normally booked Wed pm's with our youth program at church but I can change my plans to make sure my voice is heard and my concerns are addressed.

So did Mr. Shaver get to have his proposal heard then or not? Was there any discussion or was it just tabled like the petitions?

Thanks.
Township meeting format

Brian,

Township Trustee meetings, like our other public entities, do not have very good information decimation of their agenda?’s prior to the meeting. That being said, anyone can speak to any issue during the ?“Public Recognition section?” at the beginning of the meeting. It is also standard practice for members of the audience to ask questions of any of the reports or issues that are being discussed during the meeting. The public isn?’t gaveled out of order for bring up a concern and there is routinely a flow of answers to people?’s questions.

Our PATA web master posts meeting schedules as well as contact information should people have questions about the potential items coming up during the meetings.

Mr. Shaver?’s proposal got the usual ?– shove it to the side. His Ordinance for moratorium has language in it that there would be no implementation of a municipal residential building moratorium unless there was a similar action taken in the unincorporated areas. Rather than move his issue into action other City Official would rather ?“talk it over?” with various entities. This is exactly the type of dodge that killed the growth Summit Meetings 2 years ago. By the other committee members actions they clearly demonstrated that they have no intention of taking the lead. Again, Brian that is all on video tape from the Summit Meetings of 2000 here on file with PATA.
