Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

What’s weak in Pickerington?

Posted in: PATA
News coverage that impacts local residents for one thing. For the second time in 2002 our local newspapers have missed another topic that impacts all area residents.

While we obviously have many elected and appointed (and self-appointed) local officials grabbing stupid quotes there is one public office holder that is trying to do his part to make our area a better place. State Representative Tim Schaffer has introduced two pieces of legislation that our papers have ignored. Remarkable, the This Week series have printed two of the these issues; the first dealing with Representative Schaffer?’s efforts to get teachers a $100.00 State Income Tax credit for out of pocket expenses and in their last addition the efforts to keep convicted felons from holding elected or appointed office.

But, they printed both of them in various additions other than in Rep. Schaffer?’s District here in Pickerington. How weak of This Weak to exclude tens of thousands of our regions resident?’s from knowledge about these issues.
