Declaration of Dependence

Declaration of Dependence for the Citizens of Pickerington

We, the People of Pickerington, in order to maintain a level of dependence, provide for developer profit at the cost of our own overall community?’s wellbeing, promote the decay of our school system and insure that our voices will never be heard by the tokens elected to represent them (the developers) do establish and acknowledge this Declaration of Dependence.

1. We will make sure that the voices of the few special interest lawyers, developers and associations that do not reside in this community are heard above the voices of the thousands of residents.

2. We will continue to fall pray to the press release jargon and dribble that fills our media and never question the motives or integrity of these words or the officials that spew them.

3. We will unquestionably incur every tax adding issue and debt obligation that serves to further bury our schools, infrastructure, and safety services because we revoke our rights to speak out.

4. We will not vote to limit houses that spring up everywhere in our community.

5. We will not vote to limit the dollar amount and gratuities give aways?’ (that further the profit of developers and TIF?’s) drying up our paychecks and limiting what we can provide for ourselves, our families, and neighbors.

6. We will not vote to make governmental units in our area have to explain their decisions on voted issues prior to these issues taking effect.

In order to make a ?“perfect developer utopia?” I so sign this Declaration of Dependence

Too late!

John

Your signature may very well be bold but your timing is very late. Below is a cut and paste from our dear friend Mark.

Debbie,

I just got home and in the mail was the Pickerington Area Republican Club's endorsed candidates. The endorsements, paid by the club through Treasurer Ed Laramee, were:

For Pickerington City Council
Craig Maxey
Jeff Monebrake
Doug Parker
Bill Wright

For Township Trustee
Harry Myers
Terry Dunlap

Since this area is an overwhelming Republican area, their endorsements will be very meaningful. I too am a Republican and will be voting for the Republican-endorsed candidates.

Are these the ones we are dependant on?
