Why does Pickerington need a police station bigger than city hall? With all do respect to chief Fuller isn't this a little excessive? Why do we need a police station that is currently was housed in the Post Office now it will be on the far western bounderies of the city?
Why do we even have a police department? They walk lock step with city hall and are very willing to let off a drunk or two as they pass through town. In the recent PickPornogate the only mission of the chief was to trash a former employee. Why did he say anything if he didn't have the evidence? Wasn't the city afraid of being sued? They sure worry about their developer friends and if they will sue. In Pickerington the chief has experience doing that (trashing people).
I see just as many Sheriff's deputy's cars in town as I see city ones. Why we wasting all this money duplicating services? Why can't we contract with Phalen? Canal Winchester contracts with Franklin County. They are not paying for a large cop shop. They are developing commercial property and we ain't.
There goes another $5.2 million out of the tax payers pockets.
