Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

I?’ve requested the webmaster to post the City of Pickerington?’s ?“Request for Public Records?” form. They have done so & it's located on the Our Pages section of the web site under that name.

There have been a number of recent inquiries about how to go about accessing public records and since this form is no longer on the City?’s web site this seemed to be the most effective method for area citizens to request their own information inquiries.

The Ohio Revised Code protects this right to information and we hope this will give the citizens and City officials and easier way to handle these requests by access to their former form.

WHAT?

OK NOW WE HAVE THE FORM, LIST SOME SPECIFIC THINGS TO REQUEST THAT WOULD MAKE THE CITY SQUIRM. THEN LETS HAVE A BUNCH OF PEOPLE START ORDERING THOSE RECORDS, THEN LETS SEE HOW LONG IT TAKES THE CITY TO UP THERE FEE FOR COPIES OR DENY ONES REQUEST PERIOD. (ILLEGAL UNDER FOIA -FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT).

Oath of Office

If you need ideas on what to ask for; try the Pickerington City Council's Oath of office required under the Pickerington City Charter. Once you receive it please post it on this WEB site so that all of us can see if we think they are honoring that oath.

It could become the basis for any recall. They all must take the oath and if they do not uphold the laws of the State of Ohio shouldn't that be grounds for recall? Bruce you could start the ball rolling with one little request. This request doesn't need to be limited to Mr. Rookstool. Everyone should send it a request. Might be a little mini protest at the copier.
