Strong black coffee here again! Since my last message was so well-received (smile), I thought I'd post again.
First of all, folks, it is no great trick to get into the weekly newspapers around here. You need to get into the eyes and ears of our local broadcasters--I suggest calling Bob Connors' WTVN producer and getting scheduled on his radio show (even Saturday morning is a good idea--still has lots of listeners)--or, having a group of you call in periodically and fill the airwaves with comments about the City Council, Mayor and Big Joyce.
I think you should all consider Cornell McCleary's Sunday night show, too, not to mention the Ohio News Network (WBNS), Channels 10, 6 and 4, Ohio Public Radio, etc.
What's going on out here is dead wrong. We all know it. Find your best soundbites, be concise, succinct and stick to your message! And please don't let Ted Hackworth proofread any important documents.
About Spineless Mayor Randy Hughes---He has the power to initiate any proceeding to fire the City Manager, Mrs. Bushman. It is time to to turn the heat up on him big time. Don't bargain, just let him have it. He hasn't had the backbone to replace the worst and most self-serving City Manager in Ohio history. Start with him. If he doesn't listen, hit Council hard.
Embarrass them all. Hey, they aren't above it! Put some of their shenanigans into press releases and blanket the major media with them. And remember, it all rolls downhill...Later, and Best Wishes
