People are getting dry wells from development (de-watering) pressures.
Del-Co (private utility company) can provide the services for $436,450.00
Delaware City officials have no plans to annex lands... ya, right.
New homeowners pay $2,435 to hook up to the city water system. In October, the fee will become $3,600, but Homan said that the increase has nothing to do with the Troy Township project.
''We raised our fees because we are very low compared to our competitors,'' he said. ''We also need to improve our system in the future.''
Besides, Marshall said, Delaware taxpayers won't pay for the project. The money already is available in the Utility Department's water-tap-fee account.
So Delaware utilities are flush with money ?– yet the raise tap fees nearly 33%. They don?’t plan to annex lands currently outside their boundaries, but plan on shelling out almost 3 times the cost to get water to people that poor developmental plans have damaged.
What a snow job..... Could Pickerington & Delaware officials think any less of their residents and utility users?
