Taking The Possitive Look
Mr. Hackworth,
I agree with 100%, it is the ''insane'' annexation that you refer to that adds nothing to your community. Part of my platform is to bring a minimum of six (6) new manufacturing industries (or more) to Fairfield County. I'm not even elected yet and one is already on the way. If Pickerington had an industrial park with ''heavy industrial'' rating, this group of investors would be right there looking for a 45,000 to 50,000 square foot building right now. This business is a ''green earth'' type of business with no smoke stacks that make it unwanted. The proposed plant is looking at a huge investment in the community and many new and highly paid jobs. If the Pickerington City Council wanted to annex a parcel of land to bring in an industrial park with an estimated 500 new jobs, the economic impact would result in a total 2,000 new jobs through out the community. That would mean there is a definate need for more residential development to keep up with the new jobs created. To me, that is wise community planning.
Please continue to send me your ideas, our democracy relies on people like you and the many other individuals out there who have ideas and want to work together for a better way of life.
