I have been waiting but I haven?’t heard you mention the new Traffic Light in front of the New Drug Mart on route 256. I was called out last Sunday morning and the new light was working at 3 AM. As I sit there all alone with not another soul around that was awake anyway, I wondered just how many kids this traffic light would have educated this year in Pickerington. I?’m sure you have notice that they are about to fire up another light at Courtright Road next to the Dairy Queen. I am sure this light will be on 24 hours a day as well. So your drive to work in the early morning hours will be delayed even more time. This is planning at it finest here in Pickerington.

I also want to point out that Courtright and Cherry Hill Drive are designated as thoroughfares. Just past the Dairy Queen our city has posted a sign ?“NO THROUGH TRAFFIC.?” So how can it be a thoroughfare with no through traffic? Does any of the millions we have spend on our roads make any sense to anyone?

What can I say that I haven?’t said before? There are more coming. Milnor and 204. Refugee and the back entrance to Kroger. The new development behind the drive-through. More and more.

Here?’s something I wonder about. It Seton Parish, PYAA, the funeral home and the Post Office were made to do the right thing and divert their entry points to the Courtright extension so they had a light for safety, how mush room would be left for Gray?’s new adventure in Section 8 housing out there?

Mrs. Bushman has assured me in the numerous discussions we have had on this subject that (and I?’ll type real slow so you can read my lips) PICKERINGTON IS ADHERING STRICTLY TO THE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN THAT HAS BEEN IN PLACE SINCE 199-SOMETHING. IT IS REVIEWD, REVISITED AND REWRITTEN AS NEED BE.

On another subject that I find equally disturbing ?– just what is the real story behind the disconnected water meter ?– get my water for free ?– take it from the Junior High ?– it?’s on their bill - water deal that the equally amazing Mr. Berry has for his downtown properties? Is this fact or fiction???
