It's not going to be too hard to find material for the next PATA newsletter....

Let's see, we've got the threats from developers at Vision and Homewood against the schools and the wetlands. (complete with long overdue publically stated School Board outrage) This along with Council's failure to secure true commitments on any of these promises.

We have the failure of the school levy and the huge margin by which the initiatives passed. This includes Council's illegal and unethical efforts to lobby against them with taxpayer money.

We have Council's ''two faced'' attempts to kill the recent referendums. (if they're administrative, why introduce and then table an ordinance to change to emergency...if you need the ordinance, then how can they only be administrative...sounds to me like they'll do anything to get around these legitimate petitions)

We have the recent editorial in the Suburban news, which flatly criticized their lack of leadership.

There's the whole Colonial/Maxey thing....

They are currently in contempt of court on the annexation issue...

Just seem they're making it a bit too easy to knock them off the hill the claim to be theirs. Hope we see another communication with the citizens soon. Sure seems like there's a lot they should hear.
OK

Fine! We will keep it and infest the area with mosquitoes.

Swamp land to gold mine

The elected leaders are at it again. In August, old time buddies Lou Postage and Wes Monhollen meet with this Vision Development Corp. They needed some good news to inspire the boosters that were pushing for a new operating levy.

Lou knew at that time that the three initiatives would be on the ballot for the city voters and Wes knew that the voters would likely turn down the school operating levy. So they get these guys (Vision Development) to donate 16.5 acres to the school to satisfy both the city voters and the school voters. They really didn?’t get him to donate the land it was only a handshake and a wink.

Now the letter posted to your left from Vision Development dated OCTOBER 16, 2002. Brent Wrightsel of Vision tells Wes that the City Council must pass his plat plan as emergency or no deal on the land. It all comes out now that Lou is cooking a deal to save his gold mine of insurance bonding business while he enlists the help of the school boosters only to have the deal reneged on when Ms. Lisa appears with her 5 referendum petitions. He (Wrightsel) even attempts to trash the petitioners and says they are hurting the school system. I believe the voters are now beginning to see past that lie.

This letter along with the John Bain (of Homewood) letter only offers more evidence against the incompetence of our city manager and her administration. The city council has ignored the voters for so long their input and acceptance of this zoning would have helped the council years ago in negotiating these deals. They wouldn?’t be running into the problems and possible law suits they now claim they we will experience because of the stupid voters of Pickerington.

Brent Wrightsel come to Pickerington and defend yourself to the voters of Pickerington of why and how this 186 or so apartments helps our school system. How does it improve our quality of life? The spineless leaders you are currently dealing with won?’t be in charge much longer and you need to present yourself to the people that are now in charge and they are the voters of Pickerington.

I hope you have made a lot of money from your purchase of the land and the rezoning of that land, because I doubt you will be getting very much support in the future from residents of this community if you have another land deal.

We are all feed up, with carpetbaggers like you and others that are taking advantage of the local taxpayers. Some of the politicians you have been making deals with need to experiences some very heavy fines and maybe some jail time. Have a nice day.

Time to put out the trash....

Its high time that ALL area residents remove
via recall or the ballot box ALL of the elected
officals guilty of crimes against the citzens.
This includes our gutless and free spending
school board which is guilty by there silence the
past few years while the City gave away the water
and sewer tap fee's instead of collecting a
realistic imapct fee for each new home.
($3,000-$5,000).
The battle has only begun! If you want change YOU
need to make it happen. Its time to ''put out the
trash'' and put the citzens in charge rather than
the current crop of ''public enemys'' we are stuck
with.Who will lead the charge???
