Dear Community...
A couple of pieces of information and unsolicited advice. I have been reading lately about the potential recall, and how perhaps we should all wait and see what happens with the appointments to council before moving forward. Why would anyone who has lived here and watch this all unfold wait?
First of all, Lou gets appointed Mayor. He is a big, big supporter of Joyce Bushman. As Mayor, it would be his job to fire her. He will not do that. He thinks the members of PATA and those in the community who don't like what is going on (even though it is the majority of us) are a ''bunch of screwballs.'' Of course, Doug Parker, Bill Wright and Maxey all tend to agree with Lou's characteriziation.
As for Mike Kiger, he received a great deal of support throughout the election from Leo DeMastry, Randy Hughes, Maxey, Lee Gray, Fox and the other ''usual suspects.'' He is their sole political ally at the county. And because he now owes them for their endorsements and private support as well, he will most likely be paying that debt back, as witness, his letter to the editor.
If anyone lets this recall effort fall by the wayside, they will be very sorry. I think everyone would also be wise to let go of the Greg/Mike Kiger discussion and focus on what is really ahead.
Instead of everyone calling Joyce names, it woul be a good idea to have the people who know about some her dirty dealings come before Council and ask them to get her to resign, citing what they know about her unethical behavior and
mismanagement of the City and taxpayer dollars as the reason.
Now is not the time to ''wait and see.'' We'll all get burned. And besides, do you see any of them cutting anyone who voices a genuine concern, or expresses an original thought that does not serve the developers first, a break? If so, please post it, I would like to hear it!
