Is Lee Gray a candidate?
Got an e-mail today from a concerned citizen...Is Lee Gray being considered?
I didn't see his name on the list. Just the fact that Mr. Shaver MAY not have been given that name by City Hall is enough reason for any resident to push as hard as possible and work for a recall. Time to put the machine into gear and get rolling!!!!

Lee Gray??
I don't think Lee Gray is on the current list of Council Candidates. I don't think he wants the Monebrake seat. I have heard that he is planning to apply for the Lou Postage seat. Which is also the President Pro-tem of the Council. If good old Lou was to resign next summer then Lee Gray would be the Mayor going into the next election.
Seems simple doesn't it. Everyone must let the City COuncil know how you feel. If you don't want Lee Gray back you might let them know that. The City web site and to contact them is to the left of this posting.

Council Candidates
I was reading Pickerington This Week and they listed the 17 council candidates. I see 7 good candidates for sure and 4 maybes, one idiot, and 5 cronies. I do consider Diane Shankland in the good column. I think there are a number of other candidates that would do a great job as well. We have the cronnies out numbered. That has not always been true here in Pickerington. Last year there were only six candidates that ran for council and one of the six was a write-in. Pickerington you will have a great opportunity this coming year don't blow it. These people will need money and just plan help to get elected. Hopefully we will find 4 or 5 great candidates to run and the others help until 2005 and rid our city of the spell that we have been held under for far too long.
Just came aross one of the candidates on page 35 of the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce Directory. Jack Bowman lists his e-mail as Showmethemoney@Ameritech.net For those that might e-mail Jack I think they changed all of Ameritech accounts over to prodigy.net.
Isn't it ironic that the person that has been here the longest has an e-mail address like that and is applying for a seat on the Pickerington City Council. Who would have figured?
Jack Bowman lives two doors down from Daryl Berry. Was Jack looking at the Berry house when he thought up his E-mail address?
Please try to be serious with this information.

Mayor for Life
Lee Gray on City Council, don?’t be absurd. Lee doesn?’t need to be on Council or even actually sit in the Mayor?’s seat. Lee is Mayor for Life as long as this Council maintains it?’s anti-controlled development stance and the numbers of majority Councilmen owe their allegiance to Mr. Gray and his developer friends. Mr. Gray is still and has been the Captain of the ship whether in office or out.
Never forget that Mr. Gray and Mr. Maxey were on the City negotiating team that met with Violet Township for the City of Pickerington to become involved with the CEDA area lands. Violet Township and Canal Winchester, even as they concluded an agreement, continued to offer Pickerington and Fairfield County the opportunity to join in the CEDA at a later date. The Pickerington representatives did not want to share lands, taxes, or anything in a reasonable manner so the City of Pickerington residents still have no Industrial Park.
Mr. Maxey was voted out of office at the following election and Mr. Gray stood and spoke as witness to the fine character and integrity of Mr. Maxey in his reappointment to the conveniently vacated seat of John Washington. The majority of Council (save Mr. Shaver) couldn?’t vote fast enough in the placing of Mr. Maxey back on Council.
If you ever want to confirm this involvement check out the materials PATA has on file regarding the CEDA agreement. You?’ll love the video tap of Lee Gray at the first public CEDA hearing.
