So, the Honorable Mayor Randall Hughes has decided to leave his elcted post of Mayor. Coming the first of January 2003!
I guess he knew about the Recall possibilities and didn't want to go down in history as being our first recalled mayor. Oh, what about his legacy? Sounds like Clinton doesn't it?
I for one am glad to this clown go. Now, how do we get him out of our school system? I don't want him teaching his slanted views to my children!
Good riddance Randall Hughes, your Honor.

WHERE DID YOU HEAR OR READ THIS----ITS THE BEST NEWS IN A LONG TIME, AFTER WHAT HE DID TO MY DAUGHTER (READ HUGHES HURTS 3-4-02) IF ITS TRUE IM VERY HAPPY,AND YES HE SHOULDNT BE TEACHING OUR CHILDREN. AFTER I WROTE THAT LETTER I WENT TO A COUNCIL MEETING, BEFORE IT STARTED RANDY ASKED TO SEE ME IN HIS OFFICE. I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO EXPLAIN THE MIX UP, UNSTEAD HE JUMPED AT ME AND STARTED YELLING-I THINK HE THOUGHT I WOULD BACK DOWN,WRONG HE HAD HURT MY DAUGHTER AND I WAS ANGRY WE WENT TOE TO TOE AND NOSE TO NOSE. HE BLAMED EVERBODY ELSE AND WAS ANGRY I HAD CALLED HIM INCOMPETENT. TWO THINGS CAME OUT OF THAT MEETING,FIRST HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO SUE ME AND THEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO APOLOGIZE TO MY DAUGHTER, I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THE LATTER BUT NEITHER ONE HAPPENED. IF HE HAD SUED ME IT WOULD HAVE COME OUT WHAT A TRUE JERK HE IS. AGAIN I PREDICT THAT WHEN RANDY RETIRES HE WILL MOVE OUT OF PICKERINGTON AND LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE . I DID HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE EMAIL ME AND SAY THEY ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH RANDY BUT WHERE AFRIED TO COME FORWARD. IF THE REST OF THE COUNCIL WOULD JUST STEP DOWN WE COULD AVOID THIS RECALL EFFORT.

Taken to the wood shed
Bruce,
You were taken to the wood shed. This is a tactic OUR ELECTED leaders have used for some time now. Get into someone's face and intimidate them. I would advise no one to get alone with those that run City Hall. They find no fault with any thing they have ever done and they will only find a personal agenda for those that complain. That is not policy that is slander.
That is why this city and this school district are having the problems they are currently having. Everyone better be ready for a fight about the appointments to the two open seats. If you packed the city hall the last two months don't blink NOW!

Hughes is stepping down as mayor
Well, you apparently did attend the City Council Meeting last night. First Jeff Monebrake announced his stepping down as councilman and did so in a quite reasonable way, stating his family reasons mainly his ill father. I give him credit.
However, when our honorable Mayor Hughes took the opportunity, he spent most of his ten minutes trying sound like the ''poor misunderstood me'' and then went on to blame the rest of us (the citizens who vote?) on all of the problems this city is having and how the Pick. Ponds Reserve housing was going to be the final piece of the pie to make this community the best place in the world to live. You really had to be there to see the true Randall Hughes come out of his skin, what a jerk and a clown. As someone yelled; ''Why wait 'til January? Leave now you bum!''
