I would strongly encourage anyone who is interested controlling residential growth in our community to apply for the open city council positions. As always, the deadline is very short. All applications must be in by Friday, December 6, 2002. Coincidentally, this is my birthday. I can think of no better birthday gift than the company on council of other individuals who are concerned about the runaway residential development in our community. I hope that this time council is open to the appointment of such individuals and will not simply appoint yet another member of the same old group of pro-developer partisans.
By the way, I thank all of you for the kind and generous support. It is made a difficult year on council palatable.
