With the Holiday it?’s only appropriate to say a little thanks.
In what has been over a yearlong fight regarding the initiatives overwhelmingly passed on November 5th I want to say my thanks to the people of this community. The steadfast determination of the petition sponsors, the tireless efforts of the petition carriers and the voters of the community that went to the polls in foul weather to express their desire toward impacting our direction and rate of growth.
I want to express my thanks to the reasonable and responsible elected representatives that hold seats on our area?’s City Council, Township Board of Trustees, and School Board. In the cases of some of these governing bodies their voices are expressed in minority volume positions, however it is apparent to me (as it should be to them) that they are speaking their words in true representation of the majority of residents. I hope they continue their efforts with renewed vigor for the benefit of the people for whom they work to represent.
With little doubt there is still much work ahead to forge a better future for area residents than the path begun by others.
To all, I hope this holiday brings cheer, good will, and a sharing with family, friends, and neighbors.
