Hard to believe that anyone would believe that!

I can understand anyone leaving 100 Lockville Road, but...knowing the political climate here, we all know that Mrs. B. offers no room for anyone who wants to work with the People.

Barb S's biggest mistake was coming online here to apologize for violating Ohio election laws with that pre-election website endorsement AGAINST all the issues that passed.

Don't think for one second that Joyce wasn't involved with the decision to post it in the first place! Perhaps Barb S. just suddenly developed some character--and maybe a little reverential fear--of the electorate. Maybe not. Maybe she just got tired of ducking under a desk everytime Joyce enters the building.

Fourteen week contract...Please!

She was encouraged to leave

I do not like that you are attacking Barb Slaven's character without knowing her. For your information, some people who have been following the situation at City Hall for a long time strongly encouraged her to leave before some city adminstrators had her for lunch.

She appears to be an innocent person who jumped into a barrel full of less than innocents. There are some good employees at city hall, and there are some that do not fit that category. Those who are good... I hope they stay, the others... I hope follow the mayor and leave.

Ms. Slaven was in a no win situation in the view of some unless she was willing to accept personal and reputation destruction as a condition of her job. Some people contacted her told her so frankly.... and she made her decision, maybe not on their advice, but I am sure it made her take a good long look around.

Maybe it will be too bad a good person has left,(I do judge her as being good based on my communication with her) we need good people in government, but the price to be employed at city hall appears to be pretty high.... so good for her! ''Beware'' to the next employee that attempts to fill this job opening.
