. Brian Wiesenski (sp?) came forward and stated that he went to Pickerington Elementary to enroll his daughter in Kindergarten earlier that day. They have 100 slots available and more than 100 students to place there. The principal of Pick Elm. stated that the children would be placed in a lottery and would then be bused to various other elementary schools in the district. One gentleman who lives less than one mile away from Pick Elm said that his child may be bussed to violet or tussing or fairfield. He bought the house primarily because it was close the schools and that he would not be able to have his child go to school with his friends from the same area. He was not pleased. Jason Heitmeyer of Heitmeyer Builders came forward holding his microphone like a Vegas entertainer with his impassioned plea against the moratorium. Again it's all about me and $$$$$$$. Caroline Stefranic (sp?) came forward mother of two children, one also affected by the Pick Elem Kindergarten enrollment to support the oridinance. Then the leader of the boots and hard hats Mr. Tom Hart stepped up with a fully laid out poster with some very confusing and inaccurate figures about the housing market. The President of Colonial Heating came forward and said that he located in Pickerington and this would directly affect his business and he would lose about 20% of his business. Tell you what; use the $46,000 that the City gave you to come here. Also if you want to save money, fire Craig Maxey who was hired shortly after your location to Pickerington as a Computer consultant. (This man who cannot even turn on a computer). Jack Graham of Graham Electric came forward and said that this was just like every other community, overcrowding was normal in the schools and community and that we would have to learn to expect that. We were not a special community. See what kind of business you get from us now. His business and family are located in Canal. Real persuasive. Bruce ??? came forward in support of the controlled growth. A mother of a baby came forward, baby on hip to explain her support of the moratorium. Then we got a history lesson from Sue Cook whose family way back named Pickerington (Pickers). She has 98 acres that would be affected. Hey, how about donating that to the schools. You have enough acreage for your violets. Lisa Reid came forward with a well-delivered and documented report in support of controlled growth. Resident of the township, Margaret Whiteman, came forward with her passionate views in support of the moratorium. Steve Reid came forward with a speech that said that we should not forget the
