Guess his ''word'' means nothing
David Shaver said his fellow council persons had given his their word that the ordinance would be voted on in 2 weeks. So much for the word of Doug Parker. They ought to at least bring the ordinance off the table and to a vote so the cowards can say ''ney'' for the record.
I recall following (contractor/builder) speakers: the owner of Alzner Masonry, one of the Donley boys, Jason Heitmeyer, Bob Posey (owner, Colonial Heating & Cooling), William Fannin of Fannin Builders.
I hope realtors are showing prospective home buyers all the trailers at Pickerington Elementary. However, they're probably only driving clients by the new high school and Jr. High and saying, isn't this great - all is well in Pickerington. Meanwhile, our principal is asking the PTO for funds to buy supplies as his budget has been cut so much. The schools truly are in a crisis and I fear City Council will turn a deaf ear to the kids, once again.

Don't forget
Eric Schottenstein of Joshua Homes, the guy who smirked most visibly at Dave Shaver.

Some of what was said
Still want to know,
You deserve some form of answer, other than you should have been there. Having been here myself I?’ll give you what I remember of the speakers and reactions. By the way I usually give the papers an opportunity to quote my words when I speak and if not reported accurately then post my full comments for all to see here.
General impressions:
I arrived at 6:18 pm for a 7:30 pm meeting and the parking lot was full. I parked beside a DiYanni truck and viewed vehicles as well as company hats, shirts and other logos of other builders and sub-contractors. When I went into the building all the available seating was already taken. Someone was kind enough to have a seat for me (my disability doesn?’t allow me the luxury of standing for long periods). The room, hallway and doorway were completely taken by the audience. The public comments phase of the meeting took over 2 hours. I did not stay for the balance of the meeting following public comments. During the public comments in my front row seat you could see the expressions of the Council members and staff and it was plain to see who was pleased and displeased in the flow of the comments ranging from support to opposition to the proposed Growth Limiting measure. I?’ll butcher some names (for this I apologize) but give you the flavor of the discussion. Anyone is welcome to correct me, should they wish. I?’ll use the following ?“code?” for readers to follow (I) in favor of the Growth Limiting Ordinance, (O) opposed to the Growth Limiting Ordinance and (L) indicates local. * indicates builder, developer, subcontractor, or realtor.

Some of what was said - cont'd
--
In explanation to those who signed up and did not speak it was a long wait and standing room only with many speakers outside in the lobby.
There was a clear difference that one of the speakers illustrated very well. Local residents came to speak about their concerns of our current growth habits impacting on the community as whole, schools, roads, quality of life, taxes upon those living here, etc.. Outsiders came to speak about the jobs lost (to them), a run down as an orchestrated list of the BIA points (noted in the ?“Our Pages?” section.) This sold poorly to the crowd of locals, many of whom could see through the vale of myths into the truth. The ?“second generation?” builders were by far my ?“favorites?”. Of which one quoted ?“growth plans are all wrong ?– you should plan as you go?” another chimed in that ?“all communities are experiencing these problems and if you restrict growth here it will just go elsewhere.?”
What I really did witness was the expression of your term ?– the CBB ?– and the various Council members reactions as they spoke.
