Well folks this evening was a banner year for our Pickerington City Council meeting. It was filled with construction workers telling us all just how valuable they are to this community. They claimed they pay taxes while working in Pickerington. If their head quaters are located in Canal Winchester and the work in Pickerington who checks up on them? Those taxes do not go to the school. They go to the city if they are actually collected.
Don't tell anyone but they are blowing smoke up your skirt if you believe this helps. I am sure they do stop by the local carry out and purchase their six pack before heading home because they can't afford to live in Pickerington because of the high real estate taxes.
Old Lou Postage did appoint Heidi Riggs and Mike Sabatino to the vacant council seats. I guess we will see how this works out in the next two weeks because they forced David Shaver to table the housing restriction ordinance for two weeks.
I hope you all show up in two weeks to let them know exactly who lives here and who this council is suppose to represent. Clearly they are leaning toward the positions that the local builders laid down this evening. If you don't have your blank recall petitions ready then be prepared for a long evening and an even longer year trying to deal with the school situation.
The choice will be the voters this fall. WEB master please post the votes on March 18th and name the nay voters and the yea voters. We will need to reminder the yea's and nay's this November.
