Dallas: you are right, the recall efforts still continue. We are waiting to see if they do the right thing with the appointment of the next council positions. We are hopeful that they will see the next two appointments as opportunities to bring us together as a community. As I interviewed for the City Council position, I was asked a great deal about this by Doug Parker, Craig Maxey and Brian Fox. They were not pleased with me and believe I started it. I certainly did not start it nor end it but will offer again my email for organizational purposes recallnow@juno.com. I say again, I will be the secretary to the effort. The fact is that neither Pat Shaver nor David could possibly talk the citizens of Pickerington into not thinking about recall. The message is clear, get out!! Brian asked me why I did not defend their position and offer support and I told him that I did not support their efforts and would not speak up in defense unless I believed in what they were doing. I have defended them when their decisions have been principal/citizen centered. I did ask Brian after the interview if he would comment on why he does not recognize the newly formed in January 2002 the Northwest Fairfield County Republican Club He also did not recognize the Lincoln Club, the oldest, most dominant and persuasive Republican Club in Fairfield County. The answer he gave me was ''well, they were not going to vote for me.'' Agast I said, ''Brian this is not about Brian Fox.'' This is about the direction and future of the Republican Party in Fairfield County. We should not be fighting amongst ourselves as Republicans. The truth is that Brian asked for our money and the money of the Lincoln Club and was refused by both. Concerns were over his use of that money (oh like running a Democract who was sympathetic to their position, like they did Randy Hughes might be a reason) or worse yet to move their candidates into higher and higher level seats in the County. Brian is clearly out of his league on this. As the machine rolls down Route 33 towards Lancaster, Brian has shown his true colors and summarily pissed off the Bar Association by not even putting on the list of judges to be considered by the Governor for the next Fairfield County Judge position a person in the name of Richard Berens. The bar overwhelmingly supports Berens. Mr. Berens was voted last year, ''Republican of the year.'' Brian said that he is concerned about his electability, really? You see he does not have one qualification that is essential for Brian, '' he won't vote for me.'' How sad. Watch out Lancaster, they are going to do the same stuff down there. Just watch as they slowly move their toadies into key Republican positions within the County. Brian however has not counted on the long standing and very powerful Bar of Fairfield County. They are not at all pleased with Brian Fox. Brian is out of his league. May have to call in Lee Gray and Darryl Berry for consultation on this one. What to do, what to do? Be careful Brian you are your own worst enemy in this stuff. You really don't know when to shut up. Calm down, like Darryl says, be cool like Lee Gray. Finess, finess. As the newly elected Vice President of the Northwest Fairfield County Republican Club I invite anyone interested in joining us the last Tuesday of every month for our meeting at 7:30 pm. We have had them at the old Library, however I am not sure where the next one will be. Send me an email if interested. In the meantime, please write the Governor about Richard Berens and other issues as soon as possible. The time is of the essence. The Governor has already received a great deal of mail about this, however more letters are needed. Mr. Berens truly is a man of principal and has the judicial knowledge and fairness to be a strong Judge in Fairfield County. I wholeheartedly support his candidacy.

You are wrong wrong wrong! This ego and the County Republican Party is ALL ABOUT BRIAN FOX and his big ego in his little spineless body.

First Brian wants to be an elected leader but to lead you must take positions not directions from your silence partner and mentor. He wants to become at least a county wide elected person. Yet, he thinks cutting off most the Republican power base will get him elected. Something along the line of an ostrich putting his head down between his legs and burying his head in the sand. However this ostrich must have had a very long neck or short legs. Because he buried his head so deep that it surfaced toward his rear and he thought he saw a smiling face. It was actually his butt.

Brian, the elitists he is, ran in the 2000 primary for the Republican nominee for state Representative. The county party under Tim Schaffer didn?’t endorse him. Now Mr. Schaffer was not part of the screening committee because he was running that year also. His supporters endorsed Mr. Schaffer and dear little Brian only got a recommended status. Of course Brian lost the primary and had to remain on the Pickerington City Council voting with his builder buddies. Instead of building his support within Pickerington voters he tried a short cut. (Oh the passions of youth) Now with great determination go upward and onward with his falling political career he chose to align himself with the former Sheriff DeMastry who was under indictment at the time for 330 felonies. He signed DeMastry?’s nomination petition to get him on the ballot and accepted money from the DeMastry family to run his 2000 campaign. Many in the DeMastry Family were out for revenge against Tim Schaffer who wouldn?’t support an indicted sheriff. As we all know Mr. Schaffer was correct and DeMastry was later convicted. So Brian accepted their help and along with their political supporters.

Since he had been voting with the local builders on many of the annexation issues here in Pickerington, Brian no longer had voter support at the polls. So when he ran for central committee last May he lost to a rookie person that had no name recognition. Brian had his ace in the hole because he had recruited Pickerington City workers to run for central committee representatives. These employees included three Pickerington Police officers. Plus all of the directors and secretaries that they could brow beat into running. Some of these Pickerington employees didn?’t even know they won until they received their notices to attend the organizational meeting on June 5th 2002. Their directions were to follow Lee Gray's lead and they did. Brian also recruited Lions club Members along with members of the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce. Now all of these people are free to be active in partisan politics but are they free to do this on City time? Is it appropriate for Craig Maxey to deliver campaign signs to these employees during city time? Was it appropriate for the City Manager to direct these employees to cooperate with Mr. Fox, Mr. Lee Gray and Mr. Maxey? No but this is Pickerington and Bushman is the Queen.

So now Mr. Fox loses in his home precinct of Pickerington ?“I?” and still shows up at the Republican Central Committee re-origination meeting very confident. Obviously when they arrived at this meeting and they had already had did their head count and they were ahead by 6 votes.

The meeting began and nothing was left to chance. Lee Gray makes the first motion to accept the new bylaws. This is how they get away with everything. It is always in the Bylaws. Guess who is the Parliamentarian? None other than Robert Mapes. That means he get to settle any disputes over what the bylaws mean because he wrote them to give power to Brian Fox. That is right another City of Pickerington employee Bob Mapes. This is the same guy that is easily confused by initiatives that don?’t have all of the changes capitalized. Yet he allowed Brian Fox to be nominated and elected to the Fairfield County Republican Executive Committee from a category that excluded elected officials. Mr. Mapes said that only applied to partisan elected officials. Yes this is the same Bob Mapes that has been so critical of the Pickerington citizens and their right to run referendums. The bylaws did not say partisan elected officials.

So as the evening ended Mr. Fox was then the county?’s Republican leader. His support came from a convicted felon's family and Pickerington City employees forced to run for office and support Mr. Fox. To make sure the votes came out right good old Republican Daryl Barry helped count them. I called the sheriff to report the theft but no report was ever made.

Now they come along and they still are determining who is running the city. Mr. Fox, who appointed, Mr. Maxey and Doug Parker and all lost in their own neighborhoods yet they are the ones selecting who the next Pickerington City Council Members will be. This Council had a Charter review committee two years ago and they left themselves some very big loop hole to jump threw didn?’t they?

Who was on the Executive Committee Screening Committee to select a replacement Judge for Judge Martin?’s seat? Here they are Lee Gray (Let the good friend off for drunk driving what other favors would he expect his nominated judge to do?) Brian Fox (uses City employees on City time, to get himself elected as the party leader and abused their rights under the Hatch Act) Jane Hunter (works for Daryl Barry and her husband is a builder) Peggy Matheny (ran the re-organizational meeting that let Brian become elected out of a category he wasn?’t entitled to run from.)

So they can?’t find Richard Berens as the best nominee because he is not political enough? Do we want our judges political or do we want them to be qualified and who better to make that assessment than the County BAR association?

On the darker side we have Brian who is supported by the family of a known felon and Pickerington City Employees who could care less about the Republican Party. If I were those other attorneys on Brian's list I would be afraid of the stink it carried with it to be recommended by a spineless Republican Fraud whose supporters have criminal backgrounds.
