SO FAR THE RECALL IS BEING RECIEVED VERY WELL, I KNOW I WAS OUT OF TOWN LAST WEEK BUT IM BACK THIS WEEK, THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE PASSING OUT PETITIONS AND I DO NOT HAVE THEIR NAMES. IF YOU HAVE OBTAINED A PETITION FROM ANYONE BUT ME PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP WITH YOUR NAME ETC. IM TRYING TO KEEP TRACK OF EVERYONE WHO HAS ONE SO I CAN KEEP AN ACURATE COUNT. I WILL BE HERE THIS WEEK BUT THEN GONE THE NEXT 5 WEEKS BUT WILL BE HOME ON THE WEEKENDS,SO PLEASE AGAIN IF YOU ARE PASSING AROUND A PETITION LET ME KNOW ASAP

It doesn't take that much

In 1996 the citizens of Pickerington recalled council woman Linda Wilson. I don't believe she did any thing wrong either.

Here are the counts against Mrs. Wilson

1. Wilson has misrepresented the actions of city employees. in various public statements, she has falsely accused employees of improper conduct.

2. Wilson was found in violation of Ohio Election law. On May 9, 1994, the Ohio Elections Commission found her in violation for conduct during her 1993 campaign.

3. Wilson violated her promise to be responsible to the people of Pickerington. by her conduct as a councilmember, Wilson has failed to be responsible to the people of Pickerington.

Was Mrs Wilson's action illegal? Did she commit a crime? Remimber Brian Fox was on council and said nothing. Now he is whining because the residents want to recall him now. Has Mr. Fox, Maxey, Parker, Wright and Postage truely been responsible to the people of Pickerington?

?“Well basically ---?” are the first words that emanate from Councilman Brian Fox?’s mouth when he is put into a position of defending himself. This is usually followed by something of a pregnant pause and then words ?…. ?“The fact is ---------?” what follows is then Brian?’s attempts to lamely justify something he has done, voted on, or expressed his seldom heard opinion in public.


Being a veteran of some years in attending Pickerington City Council meetings I can knowledgably attest to these basic ?“Brian-isms?”. I can also attest to the truth that the real facts and details never flow following his utterance of ?“The fact is?….?”

?“ Well basically since the 4/2/03 Pickerington Times ?– Sun has a ?“Fox Speaks?” section on page two I believe it is time for that papers readers and the viewers of this website to learn the TRUTH over the ?“Brian-isms.?”

1. Fox said those spearheading the recall effort are a ?“small group of politically motivated individuals who have a difference of opinion?” with the mayor and councilmen.

Truth over Brian?’s fact is?… None of petitioners have ever run for political office , save Bruce Rookstool and he ran for Violet Township Trustee.

2. Fox said the recall effort against him is ?“nothing more than political payback?” on the part of people who are disgruntled he defeated State Rep. Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) to become party chairman of the Fairfield County Republican Party in June 2002.

Truth over Brian?’s fact is ?… None of the people involved in the sponsoring committee of this recall effort where participants in any of the 4 hour meeting in which Brian narrowly achieved the Chairmanship of the County Party I, and others strenuously objected to how the Parliamentarian (coincidently Pickerington City Law Director, Bob Mapes) ruled that Brian could be a candidate for such office. For the readers ?– Mr. Fox ran for a seat in the Central Committee to represent his voting precinct at the County level; however, he lost his local precinct race so the cartel that supported Mr. Fox to be County Chair did so through placing him as an eligible citizen to the Executive Committee under the category which precludes elected officials. I and others objected and were over ruled by Bob Mapes?’s interpretations. (Sound familiar to any past petitioners?)

3. ?“It?’s no coincidence that many of the people involved in the recall were on the loosing side of the chairman?’s race, he (Fox) said.

Truth over Brian?’s fact is ?… None of the recall petition sponsoring committee members even ran for their precinct seats where they live. They weren?’t involved in any of the votes of precinct winning Central Committee citizens who elect members to the Executive Committee. It is these Executive Committee members who elect the County Chairman?’ Including Mapes, Maxey, Gray and others.

BOB, FOR STATING THE FACTS WE ALL KNOW WE ARE NOT THE MINORITY, BUT THE LARGE MAJORITY, ALSO I HOPE EVERYONE REMEMBERS AND KNOWS THAT TO BE RECALLED YOU DONT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL, YOU JUST ARENT ACTING IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE MAJORITY OF THE CITIZENS. I BELIEVE POSTAGE IS TRYING TO MAKE IT LIKE YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ILLEGAL. IN MY REASONS FOR THE RECALL LOU STATES THEY ARE NOT GUILTY OF WHAT THEY ARE CHARGED, WE WILL LET HISTORY DECIDE THAT, SORRY LOU IN MY OPINION YOU ALL ARE GUILTY AS CHARGED!
