Facts pt 2
I am circulating an initiative petition to place this ordinance on the November Ballot. I have nearly 300 signatures from 22 circulators. I need 355 signatures and I plan to turn it in with 500 signatures at the first of June. I have not had anyone in the city refuse to sign. There is overwhelming support for this plan by the people that count and they are the residents that vote. I am getting similar reports from those out in the community getting these signatures.
To blame the land prices and other development opportunities being lost because of a proposed ordinance is not only inaccurate but dishonest. As you probably know land and real estate prices are determined by market demand. If our housing market is saturated today how does selling hundreds of new homes help the market. Obviously the Cook family may be hurt in the short term but you neglected the other 10,000 men, women and children that live here and are faced with similar financial crisis because one they can't afford more tax increases and second their largest investment being their homes is losing value daily.
Please in the future in comments please consider who is feeding you the information and why.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
