This coming Tuesday, April 1st the City Council will have a meeting at 7:30 pm at 100 Lockville Road.
Councilman Shaver's Growth Plan - a plan that limits housing permits to 100 in a calendar year will come off the table for a vote by Council. This Ordinance was introduced at the March 4th Council Meeting & tabled with the support of Mr. Parker for the last two Council Meetings.
Mr. Parker also stated at the March 4th meeting that they would be committed to making a growth plan work prior to the passage of the School Levy in May.
At this point they will have to do at least two readings at a Council Meeting to have the Growth Plan pass prior to the May Election.
They will also try to increase the number of homes this Ordinance allows as well as side stepping it entirely with a new ploy to be unveiled on Tuesday evening.
Mr. Parker stated it could & would be passed by Emergency if needed. I personally can't imagine anything Pickerington needs more than now than a plan to handle growth & the time to create one.
Please come & support Mr. Shaver's effort on Tuesday - this will impact everyone in the City & the Township. It is time for them to listen to their constituency.
