I missed the council meeting last night. anyting of note take place? and... are the recall petitions still circulating? i hope that the recent passage of the need for a growth plan does not mean that the petitions have been set side?

Disappointed

I was at the council meeting last night and I was disappointed in their lack of action and total disregard for the citizens of Pickerington let alone the school district residents. This city council has done nothing but delay and foot drag and each month for a full year now. I approached Mr. Shaver last year about a moritorium and I would circulated a moritorium last summer if they had not placed road blocks in our way with their trumped up FATAL ERROR routine on the previous initiatives.

Again in November, I talked with Mr. Shaver in November about when the council was going to address the issue of our growth. He said they agreed to consider his ordinance in January. Finally in March it finaly got to the council floor watered down. They continued to delay and foot drag and finally a very watered down version was passed May 6th in total confusion.

Last night they delayed the 100 home moritorium until August 1st. That is full year and if they were annexating one of their farms into the city they would have passed in one night with three readings and emergency.

The community authority does nothing for this community or this school district. It is nothing but a distractsion from facing the real problems that this council wants to put off. The CA does address commercial growth nor does it address school operating funding. In fact it creates over whemling debt for this city and school district that we simply don't need.

This is a classic case of the tail waging the dog. We must put in place a place a plan to develop this community and defering to the BIA and Tom Hart is not where you start which many on our council are doing.

Please get your initiative petitions signed by our city voters and lets get a real growth plan under way.

duped by the BIA and this bought and paid for
city conucil? Or the school board double talk?
It is time for major changes in our elected
officals.They ALL need to go!

How can they do that?? What was their reasoning? Do they think we're complete idiots?!?!? What spin are they going to put on this?
