Do You Mean Concessions?
What is a consessions stand? Don't you mean concessions stand? It is obvious you were not educated by Pickerington Local School District, and attended a college like College of Wooster where they strongly believe learning takes place inside and outside the classroom. According to Stacy Smith, Assistant Director of Admissions, College of Wooster, Pickerington students 'would be disadvantaged to not have the opportunity to be involved in high school activities.' And, without extracurricular activities, our students would lose valuable scholarships such as several funded by a Battelle endowment handed out to studnets for 'leadership skills' often obtained senior year in high school when you are 'football captain' or 'student council president'. Colleges today accept whole students, a concept that includes far more than just academics. Yes, I will be gladly working the concessions this fall to provide valuable funding to help educate our students inside and outside the classroom so they are prepared for the future. |
