State Funds for New Schools

Bruce,

And, now the $77 million question.

There have been constant rumors that our district did NOT take advantage of state monies to assist with the construction of the new buildings off of Refugee Road. It is also in the rumor mill that the situation is awaiting an opinion from the Ohio Attorney General.

Was state aid available for the construction of our new schools? If so, how much? How was it turn down? What legal action has been taken to recover the funds for our schools? Did the Statute of Limitation expire last December for us to act?

Please let us know the facts from fiction, Bruce. Thanks.
Posting too precious

Unbelievable, Mark now you want to take a twist at the teachers pay by addressing a question to the ONE board member who voted against the over inflated contract that you so favored passage of at the time.

Incredible, please explain this flip-flop by you to our web viewers and as to why Board member Sigman called Dr. Rigelman on the carpet for the Doctor?’s viewpoint that the PLSD didn?’t have the funds to offer such a contract.
A FACT NOW EVIDENT TO ALL.

Please explain that the Sigman viewpoint was to the opinion that it was totally inappropriate for Board members to question administrators such as the past PLSD Treasurer Dennis Menoski.
A FACT AT HOW IMPROPER THE PRIOR years off 3-2 (Sigman, Sanders, Carlier
vs. Rigelman, Oakes) BOARD VOTING RECORDS now show that more ?– not less Board supervision of Administrators prove what pathetic management we were under.

Please explain your then ranting of how we must do everything to pay any amount to settle and get a contract in place.
A CONTRACT THAT ONLY ADDS TO OUR INDEPTEDNESS.

Once your done there ?– Please answer my posting under the title ?“Financial Backers of Levy?” ?– a posting not ''anonymous'' and ignored by you the Fundraising Co-Chair of the 2002 Levy Campaign.

Please Educate Us, Bob!

Bob,

Nice try, Bob. I was not ever consulted regarding the teachers' contract; nor have I ever offered an opinion on it on this website until this one.

And, if you want to blame me for all the actions of Sigman, Carlier, and Sanders and who ever else you have a personal vendetta against (and that seems to be most of the community), I will be delighted in exchange to blame you for all the illegal actions of your buddies -- Oakes and Rigelman.

Please share with us the financial committee meeting minutes of January 26, 2003, Bob. You attended the meeting. Just what was discussed -- Bob? Educate us, Bob. What happened at all the of three finance committee meetings, Bob? What happened behind closed doors? Were you theone who suggested that the public should be excluded from the meeting? Who told Mike Maurer that he should not report on the meetings? Was Mike Maurer invited to the January 26, 2003 Finance Committee meeting, Bob?

Funny, I haven't seen anything on the PATA 'our pages' about the Board's Finance Committee.

And, Bob, just when was 'our pages' updated with the change from 'Finance Committee' to 'Finance Liaison'?

Finally, Bob, I thought you were going to ignore my postings here and encourage everyone else to do the same. Must of hit a nerve for you to come out of the woodwork, and directly respond to my posting.

Tax increase ??

Why did our Real Estate Taxes increase last year? They increased about $100 per $100K home. I wounder if Doug Parker with see his rent increased also because of the added expenses to his land lord?

This wouldn't be by chance the effects of teh minumal milage passed a few years ago? Did they reappraise our properties in 2001 and then in 2002 thet tacked on a cool $100 bucks while we weren't looking? Did Mark Uher say this was the faiest tax of all that new people moving into the distrcit would pay for the new Taj Mahal? It we are all now paying for whether we lived here before 2000 or not.

My willingness to pass another levy has dropped sicne receiving this bill. We only have 28 years before we pay the thing off. Who lead us all into this mess? Is it documented on this site?
