Lovable Lou

Posted in: PATA

For those of you who had any doubts about the allegiance of our beloved mayor, just take a look at the local papers. The Southeast Messenger has a couple of great quotes from ole Lyin' Lou. In response to a question about the recent rush of developers seeking building permits after they requested time to ''work on a solution'' to the building crisis Laughin' Lou defended the double cross of the builders stating that they were just ''protecting thier investment.'' The follow up to this was a question about the effect of these rush of new homes on the schools prompted His Dishonor to remind the public that he wasn't responsible for the school's problems. Other papers have similar quotes and even have photos of Smilin'Lou standing next to the Parade of Homes. You would be smiling too if you made a living as a bonding agent for developers in this town.

Face it folks, as long as this developer toadie and his henchwoman, Joyce ''Anyone want to sell me an option'' Bushman remain in office there is not going to be any end to uncontrolled growth in this community. I don't know where the recall ballots are, but for Pickerington's sake lets get them filed as soon as possible.

Wee Willie Wrong

The only objection I have is that we should not forget President Pro Developer Wee Willie Wrong. This scroundrel has been quoted that ''moratoriums are illegal'' despite the fact that they have been upheld by the Supreme Court. He also states that the city cannot do anything about approving building permits. There is no law that requires the city to immediately process all of these building permits nor was there any law that required the same combination of Postage and Wright from voting to approve nine plat approvals on the eve of the last election when Postage and Wright knew that the citzens of this community were opposed to rampant growth. It is time to call a spade a spade. Lou Postage, Bill Wright , Craig Maxey, Doug Parker and Brian Fox are simply the bought and paid for tools of the developers.

Councilman Shaver has stated that he will introduce legislation to make the moratorium effective immediately. Each and everyone of us should be at the next council meeting to see what happens to this proposal. Any council member who votes against it should be recalled.

In the interim, has anyone questioned the direction signs to the Charade of Homes. The last time I checked it was against the law for anyone to post commercial advertisement in the publicly owned right of ways. If they can post signs , we can also post signs stating ''Boycott the Parade of Homes'' or ''Go Away, BIA''.
