Stay focused Mark.

Mark, you seem to have problems addressing real questions when they are posed to you but just this once I would like you to stay focused on what I'm asking and to respond.

1. Isn't it true the Pickerington for Kids Committee is a PRIVATE political action committee not affiliated with PLSD?

2. If 1. is true, which I know it is, then isn't it also true that the laws you are spewing about are totally irrelevant?

Now the test is on Mark, can you stay focused enough to answer these 2 questions and not go off on some other tangent or totally ignore this posting.

Drum roll please.

BIA's Integrity is in Question

Again, you avoid the real issue.

What's hurting our schools & community is uncontrolled residential growth.

That's where integrity issues are.

Focus on a real issue.

Pick-4-Kids & PLSD

Brian,

You asked me the following question.

1. Isn't it true the Pickerington for Kids Committee is a PRIVATE political action committee not affiliated with PLSD?

The answer is no. The Pickerington for Kids Committee is afflilated with the PLSD. It is the marketing arm of the school district. Wes Monhollen, Gail Oakes and Lew Stemen are the leaders of the Committee and organized the committee. In fact, if you would like, please review the Pick-4-Kids contact persons on the agendas, typed by district personnel and copied by district copiers.

In fact, at two meetings of the Committee, there was a meeting of the Pickerington board of education (March 20, 2003 and March 27, 2003) and a discussion of the public business.

In addition, if the Committee was not affiliated with PLSD, why did Rigelman e-mail my neighbor indicating that she should encourage me to resign from the Committee because it would enhance the approval of the pay to participate program by the school board (clearly a quid pro quo)!!! Priceless, Attorney Rigelman (may be you ought to start worrying about a substantial prison term)!

Now, may I ask you a question.

1. Have you read Ohio Ethics Commission advisory opinion 90-003 yet?

Case or not?

Mark, I believe your interpretation of a private political action committee differs from the legal interpretation of such an organization.

Yes, I?’ve read the Ohio Ethics commission opinion. Boring as it was I read it a couple weeks back.

If you are convinced you have a case then take it to the appropriate authorities. If they aren?’t interested then I?’m suggesting it is a non-issue and it should be dropped.
