As indicated in today's Dispatch, there is an outstanding speaker in town tomorrow for the Columbus Metropolitan Club (CMC) luncheon forum (June 18, 2003 at noon). The luncheon topic is 'The Future of Smart Growth in Central Ohio' and the speaker is Robert Liberty, senior advisor/past director, 1000 Friends of Oregon and 2002-2003 Harvard Loeb Fellow. The forum will be moderated by Rich Sensenbrenner and sponsored by the Harvard Loeb Followship and in partnership with 1000 Friends of Central Ohio.
Due to the overwhelming number of registrations, the forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency Columbus in the Union Room on the second floor again at noon. The programs usually last an hour and half and following remarks, the forums are usally very interactive.
The forum is open to the public and the cost for the luncheon is $25 for non-CMC members (members are $18). Seats are still available even today and registrations can be made by e-mailing the CMC at staff@columbusmetroclub.org or by calling the CMC staff.
Due to a previous engagement, I cannot attend, but the monthly forums are outstanding.
