Maybe the City Council could show they are sorry for the number of permits issued by donating the Fee per permits to the Schools for Operating Expenses. It takes a couple of years for the taxes to catch up with new homes so the schools actually receive the funding.
The rate is excessive so why not donate the Permit Fee's ?? Lou says, ''It's for the kids!'' constantly - why not make it a true statement?
I believe they are somewhere around $8000 per average house, but would like someone to chime in if there's a formula to calculate per home.

Hey Masked Man...
Why pay to operate when they could build one?
The math should $8000*592 = $4,736,000
What plans does the City have for this money now?
Shouldn't they be spending it on Sycamore Creek Elementary School - in the heart of the City.
I bet if this was on the November Ballot we know how the City Residents would spend this money !!

Res. permits revenue
Permits keep this bloated govmn?’t burying us.
Those lying _ astards! They never intended to slow down houses they live off houses. You add up all the permit fees, zoning plat reviews, inspection fees and these guys are making 8% of their revenue totals from that. $370,000.00 dollars!
They get only a little more from the property taxes.
This isn?’t a balanced approach to growth this is selling the rest of us down the river!
Cut this income source out now and cut out paying any of them for doing this to us.
