its funny how when people (no names mentioned here) attack mr rigelman (and go so low as to mention his brain tumor) nobody says a word. but when someone comes to his defense, they get crucified. part of the ''issues'' are because of mr uher's uncontrolled hate and mental instability. this board is a place to express one's opinions, and that just happens to be mine. i dont ask anyone to agree with it, but i am totally sick of the mud slinging towards mr rigelman, and sick of nobody EVER coming to his defense. when mr uher quits with the childish crap, i will too.

SO tired
The phrase ?“Bickerington?” was not derived from the tenure of Burkholder, Wilson, Postage, Gray et al. They were just the part that got press. Bickerington is derived from the citizens doing just what you are doing on this website. Bicker! Endlessly!
Sadly, nothing will change when the current regime is finally removed and a new one seated. The topics will change but the bickering will continue. That is because the 2 factions seeking control of this community bicker with each other and bicker within their own. It is already going on.
Then there are those that benefit from the bickering. The developers. All the attention is focused solely on the schools while building permit approval marches at its record pace. There is no short-term solution for the school crisis. The outrageous levy is just a Band-Aid on a gushing wound. Focus on long-term solutions for the schools and work with those that can make it happen.
But don?’t turn your back on the developers and their ardent supporters. Don?’t turn your back on the alliances that already exist. Dunlap, Myers, Monhollen, Postage, Sigman, Sanders, the Boosters, Mark W. Uher?….. They all fit together. They use Mark (apparently unbeknownst to him) to keep everyone?’s attention so divided that the right people in our community that can make positive changes are often ignored.
There are several petitions on the street now (as usual). The contact points are listed all over this website. Contact them, sign them, carry them and support them. That is the only change that can happen. Wipe the slate and start over. Will the new regime be any better? Well, at least you have a 50-50 shot there. If things stay as they are, you have no chance. None.

Rigelman & Mud Slinging
Knowsit,
There are several issues I would like to correct. The first is I have not decided to yet run for the school board, contrary to Mr. Rigelman's posting. Many have encouraged me to do so as many feel there needs to be a change in the leadership of our board. Many in the community are angry with the decisions of our board members.
I do not consider asking Mr. Rigelman questions on this website about the actions of the board on the $3.3 million savings from the Auditor's of State' report to be mud slinging. In addition, I do not view asking for the Board's Finance Committee to operate according to the Open Meeting Act mud slinging. I do not consider pointing out that Mr. Rigelman made a grave error voting to all-day, alternative day kindergarten to be mud slinging. I do not consider urging the district to post board minutes and financial reports on their website mud slinging. I do not consider urging the board to control growth by advocating legislation to give them the authority to levy impact fees on homebuilders mud slinging, you, however, may. I do not consider developing a strategic plan for our schools to control growth mud slinging, again you may.
It appears to me by several of your comments that you are a very angry, hateful and bitter person. For your information in answering your direct question from a previous posting, no I never received 'swirlies' in high school. I was the class president, 4-year varsity letter winner, top-10 academically in my class, and set the school record in the 100 yard dash. My father was on the school board and my grandfather literally 'delivered' probably a quarter of my classmates at birth as he was a very well respect medical doctor. Sorry, I never had a swirlie, did you?
I think the message most are trying to send to you here on the website is to debate the issues and keep the personal attacks out of it. If I run for the school board, I would love to debate the effectiveness of the current board member and let voters decide if they are satisfied with the present leadership of the board. The voters maybe satisfied, and that's fine too. They will have a choice in any case.
