What our Community Wants


If it helps, I spent a couple hours tonight talking to people to get signatures for the Growth Moratorium Petition.

I started by apologizing for bothering them at home on a Friday evening. Everyone signed, everyone thanked me for coming. No one said, ''No Thanks!! I support what the City Council is doing issuing 325 permits.''

They all said, ''Thank God you are here !!''

I spoke to all about the opportunity to come to the public meeting on June 26th. They all believe we need more Commercial Development in our community & need to start to be pro-active to get it!

The community wants a commercial tax base. ODOT wants to move cars and trucks north and south on long continuous routes. Explore opportunites to make everyone happy. Think outside of the box. Check out the ongoing discussion of an alternative to ODOT's. Come up with some concepts of your own. The more the better. Take what you think is best and run with it.
