An interesting discussion item is located further down these discussion pages under the title
US33 Access Proposal Win/Win

For viewers to more easily get a feel for the geography involved I have added the following ?“Our Pages?” topic of ?“Allen ?– Pickerington & Hill / Diley Roads rough map?”.

More detailed maps and views will surely be available at the public meeting later this month noted in our Calendar section; however this gives potential discussion posters some idea of the area involved.

33 Discussion to ODOT?

Can the US 33 discussion referenced be sent to ODOT, City, and Township offices???? Maybe ODOT can present it on June 26.

I want to continue an ODOT discussion from down below. I think the person posting this split diamond interchange has a great idea. I want to clarify a couple of things.

First are we talking about a bridge over US 33 at Pickerington Road and a Bridge over US 33 at Allen Road? I think by your answer before concerning the access?’ north and south you are only talking about a bridge at Pickerington Road. I assume the bridge would go over both the Highway and rail line. The ramps of the south side of this Pickerington Road Bridge would be between the rail line and the highway I assume.

The north bound US 33 exit onto Allen road would come off with no problems. To get to north bound Pickerington Road we are talking about a new access road. Would this access road be far enough from US 33 to allow development along this access road, basically between the access Road and US 33? Many companies like to have their logos on their buildings in full view of the Highway.

Who would pay for the access road? Would this access road be two lane and have room to expand to four lanes?

I know the county has a sewer plant on Amanda Northern and water along Pickerington Road can we get utilities to these properties? Can we widen Allen Road? Who pays for that?

view the area

I strongly suggest that prior to considerations on this interchange proposal that viewers & web posters drive this area. See the landscape, the existing development and understand the flood plain and distance issues involved. Drive from Allen road to Hill road along Basil - Western Road.
