Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

CEDA

Posted in: PATA
Also on the front page of the Southeast Messenger was an article regarding a medical facility at the Hill/Diley interchange. Of course, this arrangement is between Violet Township and Canal Winchester. The city of Pickerington is not mentioned. I know there have been discussions on this before.

Is this one of the areas that our wonderful city missed out on? And is PLSD missing out on this too??
Could somebody please give me a brief synopsis?

Thanks

Please give me a brief synopsis

David,

Do you want reality or fairyland?

Reality -- Pickerington?’s current government couldn?’t get real development and only wants tons of houses. A CEDA (Cooperative Economic Development Agreement) is as foreign to them as wearing grass skirts is to an Eskimo in the Artic at the height of a winter storm.

Pickerington REFUSED to join the CEDA and REFUSED to augment the Canal Winchester School District lands with lands in the PLSD though they are still invited per the language of the agreement.

Who were those ?“wonderful?” Pickerington ?“negotiators?” for their concerns with the Violet ?– Canal CEDA?… none other than Craig Maxey and former Mayor Lee Gray? Craig got himself beaten in his bid for election (though appointed to Washington?’s empty seat) to continue the shame of democratic government. It was really cool how Craig was credited with bringing in that Heating, Cooling & Plumbing business after the permit fees were waved ($40,000.00). We all know Lee refused to run for re-election once his face was on the TV News releasing a potential drunk driver acquaintance.

Of course PLSD School Board (majority) fixtures Sigman, Carlier, (and I never disagree with Larry and Debbie) Sanders were equally oafish in their dealing with this CEDA. What they said and wrote in letters in the papers would have you wonder why their Kindergartner Teachers let them out of class.

Violet Township and Canal seem to understand that governing entities need to work together to attract real development.

Pickerington continues to play games and tries to deceive its residents, unless they are taken from office this community and our schools will NEVER have the tax base we need.
Thanks!

I didn't want it sugar coated. I wanted reality.

Time to go out and get some more signatures on the recall petitions!!
