At the Liberty Township Zoning mtg. last night. Two people were chosen from the approx. 200 people in attendance & allowed to talk for 10 min. to present the groups objections/concerns/comments. The people who spoke were the Roshon's attorney & two men representing the ORRD (Ohioans for Responsible Rural Development). The zoning bd. reminded us they were being generous in allowing us to talk since this was not a ''public'' mtg. The next mtg. is 12 noon on Aug. 1st at which time they most likely will vote on the issue.
A lady was handing out info on ''Concerned Citizens of Liberty Township Residents... ORRD.'' She stated they were quite concerned about the possible density of the Roshon farm development since its probable they would ask for 4 homes per acre & wanted to prevent the same problems as Pickerington. She was encouraging everyone to get involved & become informed since growth is inevitable. The formation of ORRD began with the issue of a power plant to be built in a residential/agricultural area in Liberty Township. They were encouraging everyone to visit their web site: www.orrd.org.
ORRD spokesperson indicated they had contacted an attorney to fight the rezoning.
Any comments you would like to be considered regarding the rezoning need to be sent to Billy Phillips, Liberty Township Zoning Bd., 235 Canal Rd., Baltimore, Ohio 43105, before the Aug. 1st mtg
Future referendum - likely recall
citizens either fight or developers win
By no to Zoning change
