This quote comes from Mr. William Wright President of the Pickerington City Council and Chairman of the city's finance committee. It was published the Southeast Messenger.

Mr. Wright says, ''City Council does not issue building permits. The function of issuing building permits is an administrative function not a legislative function.''

Gee Bill, I thought you guys on council make the decisions on zoning and you guys on council passed laws on the final plats. Did you and the other councilmen have anything to do with all of these new homes being built? Shoot we have blaming the wrong guys. It is those darn administrators. I'm sorry Bill for blaming you and Lou and the others for these crowed roads and the bankrupt school system. I think Monday I will call for that administrator to be fired for overloading this community.

With Mr. Wrong?’s comments what better illustrates the reasoning of why some Council members have the following language on their RE-CALL paperwork?

The following is taken directly from the city of Pickerington's website:

''The City Manager is the chief administrator of the City, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the municipality and municipal employees and appoints all employees not appointed by Council.''

Apparently Bill Wright doesn't know what happens at City Hall. His letter to the editor is yet another example of the gross incompetence seen so frequently on City Council.
