Thanks all for the numerous 'facts' about 'back-room, smoke-filled, darkened hallway' endorsement process of the NW Fairfield Co. GOP Club. It sounds like the Club has been endorsing candidates 'all summer' and interviewed Lisa Reade BEFORE she was a certified candidate on August 21st (I'm still a bit confused as to when she filed ... was it August 13th or August 18th as another poster shared).

The endorsement process of the Club stinks so badly that it will hurt good candidates endorsed by such awful process. It is best for the candidates endorsed by the Club to distance themselves from the Clubs' endorsement.

I request candidate Lisa Reade that was endorsed by such a tainted process to publically state that it was a grave error on her part to exclude the public and media from the first several CommunityFirst meetings and pledge she will never do so again if elected to the school board. This shadow government is ill-advised and always does more harm than good. As stated by the Pickerington Times Sun on February 19, 2003 Lisa Reade's approach is 'off base' Reade's approach is 'the same thing about which they (community citizens) have been critical of their elected officials.

Lisa ... it is time to set the record straight.

In addition, according to very reliable sources, Board member, Gail Oakes, is not happy about Reade's candidancy as she believes she is a 'busy-body' and 'troublemaker' acoording to her husband. Wes Monhollen, on the other hand, feels it does not matter as he will support Sigman for board president in January. Maybe Gail Oakes would like to publically set the record straight and share her endorsements.

Like I said before, it will be a most fun campaign season.

You know as well as anyone loging onto this site that the Oakes wouldn't give you the time of day let alone how they feel about the school board candidates. Wasn't your buddy Wes Monhollen on the Community First committee? Why didn't he resign when this alledged offense occured that you must now rely on the newspaper to document?

I like the idea of Larry Sigman as school board president. He didn't even know where the school boundaries were a year ago yet he now wants to be president. That is if he gets re-elected.

You now want to change the issue to certitfied candidates instead of candidates that have filed their petitions. Well if we had candidates like you supported last time we would still be wondering if they would ever get certified by the board of elections. Didn't the campaign that you chaired have a problem with having his name ''WES MONHOLLEN'' appear on the ballot in 2001? I guess we just had a President that couldn't properly fill out a nomnating petition to one that doesn't know the school boundaries.

Mark likes to support the dumb ones. That way he can try to control them.

They can confirm the date a candidate filed their petitions.

August 21st at 4pm was the deadline to file petitions for candidacy.

August 28th was the date that the Candidates were confirmed by the Board of Elections for the November Ballot.

Mark - it's nice to know that you and Wes are on speaking terms again. Last I had heard you were slamming him for potential Sports & Kindergarten cuts & his thoughts were you were a nice guy when you took your medicine.

So according to you, the candidates were endorsed on August 26th yet the Fairfield County Board of Elections certified them on August 28th. Wow.

The endorsement process stinks and tarnishes all candidates who the Club endorsed. Keep the facts coming ... saves me time and effort!
