PLSD Grandstanding Again?

Posted in: PATA
I now read in the Times-Sun that the Pickerington School Board did in fact pass a resolution or should I say a position paper calling for slower growth. The citizens of Pickerington already passed a initiative last year for the two lots per acre issue. What will this board do next? They have simply passed a statement along to the public with no teeth in it and they suggest nothing will happen if this growth continues at the current rates. Come on school board it is time to be honest instead of the behind the close doors mentality that others in this community have done so well over the years.

Where are the Athletic Boosters? Will they still support their candidates like Randy Hughes, Lou Postage and Harry Meyers? These boosters have blindly followed the likes of Lou and others down this path of Division ONE football. Now they have their coach running for school board.

What will happen after they get their levy passed? Will they continue to support this slow growth resolution? Probably not. They have done this before just to get levey's passed only to forget later. That is why they had to renew their position again last week because everyone had forgot.

Who are they going to send to these zoning meetings to demand land for new schools when large developements are coming in? The last time this baord sent people to the city was Lori Sanders and Debbie Carlier who gave away TIF money at 204/256 and the Windmiller Tif. This was solely an effort to get Doug Parker and William Wright Re-Elected. What kind of donations are these school baord members going to demand from builders when they over load the school system? It is time for member of the school community to develop a spine more commonly called a backbone. This school board wants to be nice and positive. In stead they accept money from Builders for their levy campaigns but are timid when asking for grants to help the schools.

August 6th we will be back to business a usual if the levy passes.

Same old song

I agree that each time there is a levy or school
issue on the ballot, the board of education dusts
off their song about controlling excessive growth. After the levy passes, they jump back into bed with the BIA & their cronies and the song is forgotten. Of course that $600k from the
developers could make anyone develop memory loss.
By the way, where is that $600k ??? Has any of that promised money been paid?
