I have read some very outlandish comments here on this web site today. It continues to amaze me what Mr. Uher will do to embarrass himself in public. I reject his comments that the Republican Club of Northwest Fairfield County has a ?“sham?” endorsement process. I was one of the first candidates to be endorsed this year (June) by the NW club and I did it to encourage others to enter the different races. I think we now have a full slate of candidates to choose from. Once the filing deadline came you don?’t do much encouraging for the current election cycle.

I disagree with Mr. Uher?’s assessment of the fitness of candidate Lisa Reade for the Pickerington School Board. She has children in the system and she is devoted to their education. She has the energy and intelligence to push her agenda. One of the issues Lisa has looked at for a look time is the uncontrolled residential growth in the city of Pickerington. She has worked tirelessly with me and the others to find a solution to get that residential growth under control. She has the courage to stand before this current Pickerington City Council and endure the insults and keep focused on the subject. Not being a member or ever attending any of the Community First meetings I am not sure of what Mr. Uher?’s charges are about. Clearly Community First is not and can not enact any laws nor do they use public money. I am not sure why they would ever be required to invite the press. It seems to me that Mr. Uher chaired a committee along with Daryl Berry that a quote from one of the elected leaders attending those meetings stated he would not make any comments in that meeting about his position because the press was there. Cleary you can also see the political intimidation Mr. Uher and his supporters practice. If you do make public statements that are not to their liking you are insulted and threatened by Mr. Uher and his friends.

I will support Mrs. Reade today and in the future. She has my vote and I will ask every person I meet in the coming months to vote for her and Jim Brink for school board.

I also will support and endorse Brian Wisniewski and Heidi Riggs for Pickerington City Council. I will do everything I can to get them elected along with myself. We will need every vote and we will need your help to overcome the big money that is sure to flow from the builders. We will not state on this web site our plan to overcome that financial disadvantage but we do have a plan.

David Shaver has committed to run for Mayor of Pickerington. I will support and endorse David Shaver for Mayor and I will work as hard as I can to get him elected. David is a tremendous campaigner. He will work harder than anyone I will try to keep up with him.

Those candidates mentioned above all received the NW club?’s endorsement. All of the above candidates stand for controlled residential growth and ethics in our local government.

WE ALL NEED YOUR VOTE ON NOVEMBER 4TH

Special June Endorsement

Ted,

I'm impressed that you were endorsed in June by THE CLUB. How were you so lucky to earn such an early endorsement?

So, if I understand THE CLUB's endorsement, some were endorsed in June, some in July and the rest in August, regardless if they had filed for office. Correct?

Were any endorsements made in June and the endorsed candidates did not run? Is that why some were made in July and others in August?

I believe it is the first time the GOP endorsed candidates for school board. Any special criteria or questions 'asked' on their applications or during the 'interviews'?

Please share more information about the selection process of THE CLUB. Thanks.

Then and now!

Mark

You continue to ask questions about the NW club?’s endorsements. You are worried that I and others were shown special treatment or something. Yet you and Debbie Carlier didn?’t seem the least bit concerned when the Pickerington Area Republican Club made their endorsements with only 4 members present on October 18th, 2001.

Do you still stand by those endorsements of 2001? For the record neither David Shaver or I were ever called by that club for their consideration. We are both registered Republicans. What procedures did they use? Did they invite all of the candidates to interview? Oh that's right is was well after the filing date so they had plenty of time to get that message out. Our addresses were on file at the Board of Elections.

Thank you,

Pickerington Area Republicans

I just got my mail today and am a bit perplexed as to the endorsements claimed by the Trustee Candidates.

Jeff Fix claims endorsements by Republican County Elected Officials, Tim Schaeffer, Jon Meyers, Allan Reid, Judy Shupe and Barbara Curtiss. Harry Myers received endorsements by Lyle Diley, John Ricketts, Barb Curtiss, Allan Reid, Judy Shupe, Jon Meyers, Marsha Hall, Gary Weltlich, and Bill Losoncy.

Then along come the Pickerington Area Republican Club with a voters guide to vote for Harry Myers and Terry Dunlap. Something is out of place here. I will be casting my votes along with the Pickerington Area Republican Club for HARRY MYERS and TERRY DUNLAP.

I Agree With Debbie!!!

Debbie,

I just got home and in the mail was the Pickerington Area Republican Club's endorsed candidates. The endorsements, paid by the club through Treasurer Ed Laramee, were:

For Pickerington City Council
Craig Maxey
Jeff Monebrake
Doug Parker
Bill Wright

For Township Trustee
Harry Myers
Terry Dunlap

Since this area is an overwhelming Republican area, their endorsements will be very meaningful. I too am a Republican and will be voting for the Republican-endorsed candidates.

Since you are a Republican I guess we can count on your vote for our endorsed candidates out in the township, Right!
Your endorsements

Mark

What's the problem? Debbie is not here to tell you how to vote?

Now you want to think through your endorsements or should I say the kiss of death.

My Endorsements

Sorry to disappoint some of you, but I'm not like THE CLUB and endorse candidates BEFORE they file and without regard to the issues.

Before I endorse, I will do research on where each of the candidates for school board stand on issues such as:

1. Community Involvement in the Board Decision-Making Process
2. Strategic Plan to Build Community Concensus to Support Quality Education
3. Ensure Compensation of Staff Remains Competitive in Today's Environment
4. R-2 Residential Zoning throughout the district and Legislative Authority to Enact Impact Fees on Home Builders
5. Restoring Excellence Rating for Our Schools

What questions were asked of each of the candidates by THE CLUB?
