Better words could not be spoken in these dark times! Can any lover of democracy explain to this simple tax paying citizen what sort of democracy we live in? After watching our ruling class (last council meeting) explain why the citizens can't decide for themselves how this community should grow I feel democracy is dead as long as this council is in place!
I saw the beginning of the attacks on Mr. Hackworth as Fox explained how simple this petition process is. I guess our revolutionary country men were also told how simple the Kings tax system was. Can anyone please tell me if the 700 plus homes that have building permits will be built even with this present moraturium in place. Fox claimed that most would not have signed the petition if they knew the moraturium was in place. I think the 700 new permits could have convinced most people ho this council is using their power to bury us all! He should never be voted for in any election, ever again.
The same members that voted against the PEOPLE should vote themselves out of office.
PS. Mr. Parker, if you cannot make the meetings on votes that impact the community, RESIGN the next time you make it to a meeting. You certainly were there when you voted to plat those 4000 plus homes by emergency.
