The levy has passed
Hurrah, hurrah
Our schools are saved thanks to the BIA.
By the cell phone and car pool the voters they came
By the review of the lists of the obvious dupes they proclaim
To cast their votes no matter the shame.
The promise of funds not received didn?’t diminish their zeal
The single minded votes they cast in their wish to conceal
Their belief in their hearts that developers would appeal.
And appeal they have done, thou not to the way we would desire
Cause the strings attached would make us require
That the BIA now wants to build us out to expire.
No funds to your sports, your drama, or choir
No funds to your band, your academics, or honor society
Until you submit to our ?“Hart?’s?” threats of building to THEIR desire.
Propped up by the misguided promise of a cost to limit
Pay- to-Play prices,
Return of bussing,
and the K class issue
The soles of the slim majority bought into the longevity to last between levies.
Now the promises made will reveal the mistake
A mistakes that we ALL will undertake
The BIA will not pay till the houses are built and reveal them a fake
Yet the cost to support will continue to rise
And the promises will eat away (or be broken again) I surmise
The ?‘ol timers will attest to these issue again to no surprise.
As the funds raised last Tuesday will erode away
We will begin anew with no change in the course that continues this day
Only broken promises discuss and dismay.
As we all know the root of the matter
It isn?’t the crafty pitches, wishes, or developer (nor their PRO-Growth office holding dupes) schemes and blather
It is this community?’s inability to only build what we need that is sadder.
A community?’s destiny should be that of its members, it?’s folk
Not handed over to rouges with no clue of the plan and their joke
Or worst yet Associations that intends to make us all broke.
