I'm ready to move

Mark,

Every time you do something that is so disgusting and you are discovered you want us all to forgive and forget it. To move on as you put it.

I am sorry I will never accept leaders in a community lying to the voters to get issues passed. I will never accept over the hill adults corrupting the young minds of our graduating seniors. Yes I will continue to be angry at a system in such a small town that is so corrupt.

I talked with some of my neighbors yesterday after that article came out in the dispatch. Then we saw your response. Believe me I am not the only person angry at the leaders of this community. When you use the emotions of parents and the threat of them losing a good education for their children to twist the facts and lie about what is actually happening then I will never forgive that.

Wes Monhollen should resign. Either he lied to the community or he is totally incompetent. He has been in business long enough and he should know how Ohio contract law works. So that brings us back to the entire school board. Did they really need to cut all of those items (Sports, Busing, and full day Kindergarten) last January that you complained about on this web site? Clearly the entire school board lied to us or they are incompetent because they passed the pay to play resolution before the levy passed and before they had their hands on the $600,000.

You have been in the shadows on this whole mess. Clearly you sat your big butt in the front row of the Heritage School Board meeting with all the young minds full of mush to raise the level of emotion of your followers who obviously can?’t think through tomorrow without someone like you telling them how to think and act. I talked with a number of parents in the community and most have been in a near panic mode since that last levy failed in May.

Clearly since that levy failure and before Lou Postage and his scum ball council members have been promoting this community authority in lock step with your favorite leader Wes MonHollen. Wes is promoting High density housing and new taxes for future residents in the form of ?“Special Assessments?”.

Now you suggest that I should move to a different community that I would be happy in. Are you making me an offer? Clearly I would want to get a fair price on my home and I would want to provide for my Daughter who is looking at colleges right now. I have had my eye on a condo in Daytona Beach area for some time and I would like to return to central Ohio to visit my other family members so I would need a place to stay while I am here in the summer months. Also what would I live on down in Florida in the winter? How will I pay my daughter?’s tuition at Georgetown University if that is where she finally decides to go? You work out the details and I might consider it. I will not accept a verbal offer like your puppet school board president.

Condo in Daytona Beach

Dr. Pepper,

The condo in Daytona Beach sounds great.

While I have endured lots of different name calling on this website ... I did smile when you slung the latest -- over-the-hill adult. I am only 48 -- it will be another two years before I can join the American Association of Retired Persons. And, it will be another seven more years before I will receive a discount on golf fees at a game I'm lousy at.

I have found that the term over-the-hill keeps getting older and older every year. Life really begins at 40 ...

You have a chance if you wish to influence the community for years to come this November ... I suggest you get the names of all the senior citizens on fixed incomes, call them to remind them to vote, check at the polling places if they have on the day of the election, and use your cell phone to call those who haven't. Your group of voters will be far larger than a hand few of 18-19 year olds.

So now Dr. Pepper, you have a choice. Go for the condo or get involved in the political affairs of our community. Gee, you may even want to consider running for the school board so you can keep everyone in line. You see you have lots of choices. Go for it, Dr. Pepper!

Dr. Pepper: Entire School Board?

Dr. Pepper,

Forgive me for asking. But, did you really mean all five members of the Pickerington Local School District Board of Education when you said, ''Clearly the entire school board lied to us or they are incompetent?''

You don't really mean Mrs. Oakes and Dr. Rigelman too ... do you?
The entire school board

Yes I mean the entire school board. Now what degree did they lied or be incompetent may have verying degrees. Clearly your friend Wes Monhollen is continuing with the lie, big time. I think Gail Oakes does see the contriditions of her decisions.

So here are the questions:

Did the school board really need to make the cuts in January that they threaten?

Then if the above is true why did they fund the sports and the busing before they had in hand the BIA money or had the levy passed? Clearly sports still needed that $600,000 before they received anything from the BIA. Here again Gail has bulked on that. I read in the dispatch this morning she voted against the funding. Maybe she is seeing the errors of her ways.

Now in all of these talks I have not seen one hard dollar amount that the board would save by going to all day every other day kindergarten. I have not seen one dollar amount about what they would save by not busing the high school students that are too young to drive.

As far as the sports, I see some big bucks there ($1.3 Million or more)but that was one of the first things they restored. In fact I understand that Wes Monhollen was trying to cut the pay to play down even further last night to around 50%. I also understand Wes was out telling people (People with kids in sports) that if they passed the levy they would reduce the fees to $50.

Earlier in our history they outlawed the practice of buying votes. Sometimes with whiskey sometimes cash but both were band. Now PLSD has refined it with the school president promising pay backs to parents that support and vote for the levy.

So the question now how long does this levy keep our head above water. They claim 5 years some don't want to see another levy in three years. With Wes in charge we will be broke again in one year.

Now for the other lie of two lots per acre. That was a total sham. This school board needs to read that Coummunity Authoriy and tell everyone how it conflicts with their resolution. That includes the statements you have made Mark. We can't continue to bring kids into the system at the current rate. Do we have to totally destroy our school system to get the point across to the leadership?
