I am a member of the NW Fairfield GOP club and have attended most of the meetings. Mark is right. The endorsement process was a sham. Two candidates endorsed by the process are not going to include their endorsements by the GOP in campaign materials.

I also attended several of the CommUNITY First meetings and did not like how Lisa Reade handled the meetings. Under her leadership, nothing got done. That is why the last meeting had only 10 people. All Lisa Reade wanted to do was bitch about everyone and offered no solutions to anything. They were bitch meetings.

I voted against Reade's endorsement at the GOP meeting and will campaign hard against her. She will ruin our quality schools by her constant bitching. Dan Oakes is right. She is a busy-body.

No to Reade on November 4th!

I believe you are a liar. If what you say is true, then you had your chance to speak up at the meeting. You didn't so shut the hell up now. No one holds a gun to your dog's head and makes you attend these meetings. If you don't like it, don't come. Stay the hell away.

You are the same as Uher. You are a member, you had an opportunity to speak out against the endorsements BEFORE they were made and you chose not to.

So,let me get this straight. If I don't hold the exact same opinion as you, I'm not welcome in your GOP Club? If I choose to disagree with an endorsement, or personally identify better with another candidate, I should not show my face anywhere near this club? Your response to Not a Reade Fan's opinion is evidence of why I do not want to be associated with EITHER of the GOP clubs in the Pickerington area. One is no better than the other, they simply have different agendas -- which seem to have absolutely NOTHING to do with actually being a Republican! Your mean, narrow-minded comments certainly attest to that. Maybe YOU should keep your mouth shut, too.
In case you're wondering, I'm not a fan of any of the candidates for school board. From what I can tell from my preliminary research (yes, I try to be an INFORMED voter -- not a stepford voter), it looks like the choices are pretty sparse. I am including Lisa Reade in this assessment. I understand she has a tendency to alienate people, especially those who don't share her vision or personal agenda. The question then becomes is she the lesser of many (builder/booster supported) evils and is that any way for this community to be forced to choose board of education members? What happened to all the sane, logical, and uninfluencable candidates? I fear they have seen the future of Pickerington and want nothing to do with it.
