You be the Judge

Posted in: PATA
I hope the readers of this site begin to see the total failure of those that now govern the City of Pickerington. On November 4th you will have the opportunity to vote for two municipal judges. One case is on the front page of the Columbus Dispatch this morning. You should all try to get a copy or at least log online.

In involves a Governor Taft appointment to the bench last April but it goes much deeper than that. That Judge that was appointed was a good friend of the Fairfield County Republican Chairman Brian Fox. Twice this year, Mr. Brian Fox and his handler, former Mayor Lee Gray has shown us all the extremely poor judge of character on selecting Judges. First they (Fox, Maxey, and Gray) sitting on the screening committee recommended endorsing Judge Don McAuliffe for Municipal Judge. He landed on the front page of the Dispatch also. He is in jail charged with arson and denied bail because he threatened to kill a witness and a former girl friend and it was caught on tape.

Now this morning Brian Fox?’s good friend and appointee Judge Steve Jackson is high lighted on the Dispatch?’s front page because he has allowed FOUR serious misdemeanors defendants to go free because they did not get a speedy trial (within 30 days). The defendant mentioned in the article was accused of sexual imposition with a 14 year old girl. Since the judge didn?’t schedule and have a trial within 30 days of the arrest the charges were dismissed. In typical Brian Fox defense the Judge tried to blame this all on the defense attorneys. They should be required to notify the Judge of these dates so that the cases don?’t get thrown out.

Judge Steve Jackson is opposed by assistant prosecutor David Trimmer in the November 4th election. Maybe we need to send Judge Jackson back to Hocking County and have him prosecute their cases again.

Now this is the very same Brian Fox that now wants to introduce an ordinance tonight, in city council, to give the Pickerington Law Director, Bob Mapes, a two year contract which also means that his poor judge of character will play here locally for the next couple of years while a new council will be strapped with a minority appointed Law Director that has tremendous power in these up coming legal battles with annexation and the re-zoning of these properties. Let us call it the play dumb defense.

Is an agent for Homewood Inc. (Former Mayor Lee Gray) still running the show here in Pickerington through Brian Fox? YES. Has this same former mayor circulated his six petitions for council and the Pickerington?’s mayor race? YES. Is it time to send that former mayor packing to where ever? YES.

Web Master, please provide the readers of this site a link of the Columbus Dispatch front page article of this morning so that these people can see the scum running our city and now our county.

Sluggish courts let defendants go free

The Big Lie

According to the today?’s Pickerington Times-Sun: Lee Gray rejects the notion that he is running a shadow government here in Pickerington and maybe in this county. Now let?’s see he circulates three petitions around town for three different ?“Qualified Mayoral Candidates?” but he supports only Lou Postage. I wonder what Tim Swanson says about that? I wonder what his friend Bob Thomas thinks about that. He wanted the voters to have a choice. Lee, thank you for your concern, now crawl back into your hole.

As it was pointed out yesterday Lee Gray got himself onto the Fairfield Republican Party Executive Committee because he helped get Pickerington City Hall EMPOYEES get elected to pure partisan elections including some of Pickerington?’s finest (Police Officers). The facts are also documented that Brian Fox and Craig Maxey delivered central committee campaign signs to Pickerington City Hall during working hours. It is also documented (employee affidavit) that Lee Gray calls the Pickerington City Manager multiple times each day. He must be having a problem that allows him to have direct access to the Pickerington City Manager when for most of us it takes weeks or some times a month to even get a response for the city manager (sometimes never). I know he may have some privileges because he was a former Mayor but why would he represent the city of Pickerington in negotiations with Canal Winchester at the very same time posing as a representative from Homewood?

Why would Lee Gray circulate a nominating petition for Pickerington City Council Candidate Chris Smith? Can he control a young impressible employee or business partner?

Why would he circulate a nominating petition for Julie Smith? He even filed the petition ($45) with the board of elections. Are these two decoys as well? Is he trying to only get Jack Bowman elected?

Remember Jack Bowman voted to grant the zoning variance for the Bill Goldman's project on Refugee road so that Bill Goldman and Feather wood development would donate $375,000 to the Pickerington Local Schools and that Lou Postage would take full credit for the transaction just before the election. Mr. Jack Bowman was once saying in front of council that he was tricked by the circulators of the R-4 referendum (Ord. 2000-137)and that he wanted his named removed. Who told Jack to remove his name? Clearly Jack is all ready under their control for what ever reason.

Let?’s talk a little about this $375,000 public bribe. Why would developers be concerned about the sports failing here at the Pickerington schools? Will sports issues get the front page? Do more people want to move into a school district with a nationally acclaimed sports and band programs? That helps sell houses to out of state residents transferring into the Central Ohio area. Just how many of your neighbors moved here from somewhere else? Well they retire here? Well their children stay? What and how do we replace this money next year?

Finally Lee Gray claims that the challengers are running against him and not the candidates he put up for election. That is the only truth to come of Mr. Gray?’s mouth in a long time. Yes this election is about the Lee Gray candidates and the Lee Gray conspiracy that has gripped this community for well over a decade.
