I hope the readers of this site begin to see the total failure of those that now govern the City of Pickerington. On November 4th you will have the opportunity to vote for two municipal judges. One case is on the front page of the Columbus Dispatch this morning. You should all try to get a copy or at least log online.
In involves a Governor Taft appointment to the bench last April but it goes much deeper than that. That Judge that was appointed was a good friend of the Fairfield County Republican Chairman Brian Fox. Twice this year, Mr. Brian Fox and his handler, former Mayor Lee Gray has shown us all the extremely poor judge of character on selecting Judges. First they (Fox, Maxey, and Gray) sitting on the screening committee recommended endorsing Judge Don McAuliffe for Municipal Judge. He landed on the front page of the Dispatch also. He is in jail charged with arson and denied bail because he threatened to kill a witness and a former girl friend and it was caught on tape.
Now this morning Brian Fox?’s good friend and appointee Judge Steve Jackson is high lighted on the Dispatch?’s front page because he has allowed FOUR serious misdemeanors defendants to go free because they did not get a speedy trial (within 30 days). The defendant mentioned in the article was accused of sexual imposition with a 14 year old girl. Since the judge didn?’t schedule and have a trial within 30 days of the arrest the charges were dismissed. In typical Brian Fox defense the Judge tried to blame this all on the defense attorneys. They should be required to notify the Judge of these dates so that the cases don?’t get thrown out.
Judge Steve Jackson is opposed by assistant prosecutor David Trimmer in the November 4th election. Maybe we need to send Judge Jackson back to Hocking County and have him prosecute their cases again.
Now this is the very same Brian Fox that now wants to introduce an ordinance tonight, in city council, to give the Pickerington Law Director, Bob Mapes, a two year contract which also means that his poor judge of character will play here locally for the next couple of years while a new council will be strapped with a minority appointed Law Director that has tremendous power in these up coming legal battles with annexation and the re-zoning of these properties. Let us call it the play dumb defense.
Is an agent for Homewood Inc. (Former Mayor Lee Gray) still running the show here in Pickerington through Brian Fox? YES. Has this same former mayor circulated his six petitions for council and the Pickerington?’s mayor race? YES. Is it time to send that former mayor packing to where ever? YES.
Web Master, please provide the readers of this site a link of the Columbus Dispatch front page article of this morning so that these people can see the scum running our city and now our county.
