Homework Help

Posted in: PATA
Sorry for not having my homework done better, but I have to ask a question about the Miserable Tax Base posting on the Our Pages section.

I used to have a cheat sheet that I kept to remind me of who?’s who in the fancy little partnerships that seem to dominate all our alleged commercial development. Can someone remind me of some of the partners in the LLCs and other happy little partnerships listed in the Miserable Tax Base information? I am curious as to who in those partnerships are elected officials, appointed officials, city employees, developers with very close (if you get my drift) personal ties with elected officials, appointed officials, city employees, etc.

Sorry to be a bother in asking these questions, but I seem to remember that there is more to these partnerships than it seems on the surface.

Hey soap,

how about this alphabet

B erry G ray M iller

We have been trying to confirm the G part since the Kroger referendum. Partners Are able to remain nameless according to Ohio Law and they often do their legal set-ups in a different state to be anonymous or receive state tax advantages not offered in Ohio.

The Kroger link is because if in fact G is Gray...well,the land that was rezoned to residential from commercial, could have been part of his partnership with Berry and the rezoning occurred when Gray was in office. Of couse, he did not vote on it so legally he is probably clear but the possible influence is the,,,''Grey'' area.
