Funny - All I've Read...
Interesting thing is the only thing I've read about Lisa Reade recently is that the Friends of the Pickerington Public Library, of which she is President, just got top state honors by the OLC. Her fundraising & membership retention practices are being published nationally in two books according to the Southeast Messenger. The Friends sponsor a reading program in all 5 of the Pickerington Elementary Schools that children read over 1.2 million minutes last year, I was told by the paper. They know of no investigation. Reade likes extra curriculars
I know Lisa isn't a member of the Athletic Boosters, but I also know she is on a soccer field 5 days a week. Her children also take part in other activities - so I think it's safe to say she believes in a rounded experience for kids. She also believes that academics shouldn't suffer if our educational dollars are being spread very thin. Many other parents of sports minded children feel the same way. Isn't that why our kids are in school? We are blessed with organizations like PASA & PYAA - any child that wants to in Pickerington can ''pay to play''. Do some research on the candidates & vote for the best two candidates once you've done your homework. I'm going to do mine. By Another Soccer Mom |
