Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

PACC luncheon

Posted in: PATA
I attended a function last night and heard that the three Lee Gray candidates for Pickerington City Council have no answers for anything. The person telling me this said their standard answer was, ''I don't know anything about that.'' The backup answer was, ''I will add that to my long list of things to look into.'' I would have at least expected Lee to have a cell phone set up to give these people some kind of answer other that they didn't know.

Lee Gray toadie Jack ''Showmethemoney'' Bowman said to give Pickerington a more positive imagine we should say all more things positive about the City of Pickerington. Yea Jack that will fix our problems. Tomorrow when you are sitting under the I-70 bridge on Route 256 at 7:45 AM please think positive thoughts about Pickerington. In fact roll down your window and suggest that to the driver next to you. Hopefully he won't have a gun.

Chris Smith another Lee Gray toadie promised to look into things once he is elected. Didn't know anything about the community authority. Didn't know much about the Hickory Lakes purchase but thought preserving wetlands was a good idea. Chris claimed to have a degree from OSU and he sell pizzas with Lee Gray at Grandma's. I am sure he is studying his long list of issues this morning.

The third Lee Gray Toadie was Julie Ann Smith. She knew nothing about the issues like Community Authority or Hickory Lakes Purchase. Julie claimed that she had served on council in the 80s. I never heard of her and my family has been around here for a long time.

It seems that these are the type of people Lee Gray wants on council. People that don't know anything about the issues but are very willing to vote anyway Lee tells them to vote. I know Lee was rushed this time out but couldn't he have spent just a little more time with his candidates to get them up to speed? I hope other potential Lee Gray candidates will realize Lee may be sitting in the audience but once you take your seat you must function on your own.

Of course the pitiful Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce in full support of Lou Postage didn't invite the press nor did they have a luncheon fully open to the public. This was nothing more than a fund raiser for the chamber.

I guess the three questions for the council candidates were:

1. Hickory Lakes purchase.

2. The affects of the Community Authority on Business.

3. How do we get away from all of this negativity?

Maybe people here on this site should take on a couple of these questions clearly the L.G. candidates couldn't.

Julie Ann Smith

If Julie Ann Smith said she served on Council in the 80's, she must be the former Julie Devine who did serve on Council in the 80's.
